About Global Social Enterprise Initiative
The Global Social Enterprise Initiative at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business engages corporations, nonprofits, government and other stakeholders to advance the understanding of social enterprise. Headed by Ladan Manteghi, Executive Director, and William D. Novelli, Distinguished Professor of the Practice, the Initiative’s goal is to prepare current and future leaders to make responsible management decisions that create both economic and social value.

As part of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, the Global Social Enterprise Initiative integrates social enterprise into all aspects of the school as well as collaborates with others at Georgetown, in the nation’s capital, and around the world. The initiative is developing and disseminating best practices on social ventures in and across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors. Through research, teaching, outreach, and creative problem solving, the initiative focuses on the following areas:
