Start: September 10, 2019:
The University’s Music Program will continue to offer instruction to students, faculty, and staff of Georgetown University who are interested in learning Gregorian chant. Women and men of all faiths are welcome to attend one or all sessions.
Goals include:
• Learn how to read notation and discover various types of chants
• Explore text focused on Advent
• Sing at Mass – Chants for 2nd Sunday of Advent
• Sing in group or master a solo piece
Sing at Latin Mass : 5 pm Saturday Vigil – December 7, 2019

Upcoming Events:
Compline: November 14 (Thursday) 6:30 to 7:45 pm – McNeir Auditorium. We will start with a review of the music and then sing all of Compline. No singing experience required.
December 7, 2019: 5 pm Latin Mass : 5 pm Saturday Vigil: GU Schola sings all of the Ordinaries and Propers. Congregation encouraged to learn and join in singing the Ordinaries and responses.
Past Events:
October 6, 2019: 5 pm Sunday Mass in Dahlgren Chapel: A couple of Schola members sang selected chants at the Sunday liturgy.
