Welcome to my ePortfolio! On this site you will find information about my multimedia projects. As a filmmaker and producer I strive to help local organizations, businesses, communities, and individuals tell their story through images. Over the past seven years, I have written, produced, and marketed several multimedia projects, such as web-based video, short fiction, animation, and documentary shorts. You can view some of my media projects here.

International Education is for Everyone

Video projects at State have picked up in the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA)! I’ve had the opportunity to not only meet and film many wonderful participants from our programs, such as TechWomen, Museums Connect, GSMP, Humphrey Fellows, and Special Olympics Coaching Fellows, but also write and produce campaign videos! My first campaign video for State, that I produced (writing -> shooting -> editing) just went live for International Education Week (IEW) 2013! We’ve have seen great viewership so far! Check it out:

Projects at State Department Begin!

At the beginning of August I accepted a job offer as a Video Producer at the US Department of State in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). As the Video Producer I’m in charge of producing, shooting, and editing web-videos about the Bureau’s program and initiatives, such as The Fulbright Program, The International Writing, Program and many more! Take a look some of the videos I’ve produced so far:

Google+ Case Study Published in Educause Review Online

Check out the case-study I co-wrote with my colleagues at The Center for New Designs in Learning in Scholarship (CNDLS) in the latest publication of Educase Review Online, entitled, “Using Google+ to Enhance Student Learning, Engagement, and Communication.”

The article is a summary of a two-semester study that examined whether or not Google+ could foster beneficial learning communities outside of the classroom. It is important to think critically about how these online communities affect the pace and environment of student learning in the years ahead. Read the case study to learn about new frontiers and strategies for teaching with social media platforms in higher education.

Labor of Love screening at Busboys & Poets

On March 14, 2013, Busboys & Poets hosted a screening of my film Labor of Love, a documentary film about lesbian culture in the DC area. While exploring the benefits of such spaces, the film also speculates the need for more community-based LGBTQ spaces in D.C. to serve as “an alternative to the bar, and an alternative to the closet. The screening was a huge success, the room was overcapacity (120+)!
