About

Welcome to ‘How Global Values Shape Communications Technologies’ — the blog of the Yahoo! Fellow in International Values, Communications, Technology, and Global Internet at Georgetown University.

The Yahoo! International Values, Communications, Technology, and Global Internet Fellowship Fund was started in 2007-08 at the School of Foreign Services (SFS) at Georgetown University.

Every year, the fund supports one fellow attached to the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy (ISD) and two junior fellows from the MSFS graduate program at SFS to do research on how international values apply to the development and use of new communications technologies, especially in BRIC countries.

Fr. Irene Wu, Elizaveta Chuykova and Steve Leu were the Yahoo! Fellows for 2007-08.

Gaurav Mishra, Ben Turner and Pavneet Singh are the Yahoo! Fellows for 2008-09.

It is our hope that this blog will not only serve as a record of our research as Yahoo! Fellows but also become a platform to initiate discussion on how international values apply to the development and use of new communications technologies, both within and outside the Georgetown University community.

We urge you to subscribe to ‘How Global Values Shape Communications Technologies’ in a feed reader or by e-mail and look forward to your active participation in this blog’s community.
