Possible Project?! An Online Tool for Creating Historical / Critical Narratives

Dear Vic Lit —

If any of you have an interest in helping to build a digital model of the human networks of _Middlemarch_, I would be thrilled.  There’s a tool called Neatline that seems like it could produce a fascinating digital object from Eliot’s great novel of human connection and sympathetic interlinking.

I would be willing to offer extra credit and/or potential credit for the second paper project (depending on the parameters we work out).  Let’s talk if you’re interested.  This could be quite amazing.  If you’re a digitally-savvy computer person — or are interested in multimedia scholarship generally– consider it.  Here’s the tool: http://neatline.org/about/.  Sample projects — why are the all civil war battles?– are here: http://neatline.org/neatline-in-action/.

Happy break!
