As a part of Georgetown’s Designing the Future(s) Initiative, a diverse group of individuals from across the Georgetown community formed a Digital Badging Project Team to explore how the University can develop and pilot micro-credentialing options that provide opportunities for students to showcase and receive credentials for their co-curricular involvement. The team, comprised of Georgetown faculty, student affairs administrators, and students, has developed its first prototype — the Catalyst Credential — and recruited its first cohort of undergraduate student partners.
But what is the Catalyst Credential?
