USMLE Consult – NEW!

March 25, 2014

Dahlgren Memorial Library is pleased to provide members of the GUMC community access to USMLE Consult, a USMLE test prep and simulation tool. Sign up for an account and practice Step 1, Step 2, or Step 3 exams by category, subcategory, or keyword. New, previously incorrect, or all questions can be included and exams can be taken in test mode or practice mode. Additional study content is provided with every question including medical illustrations, definitions, and textbook content. USMLE Consult was the preferred test prep tool chosen by Georgetown Medical Students in a recent trial.

USMLE Consult adds to the existing test prep tool offered by the library, Exam Master OnLine, which provides customized exam preparation and review that is easily tailored for institutional and Academic requirements. The system combines a powerful test engine with a large medical question bank.

GUMC and MGUH affiliates can now check out an iPad from DML!

DML has five iPads that will circulate for one week and you can test drive the device’s medical and productivity apps. Take it on rounds and utilize a point-of-care tool like DynaMed or bring it to the classroom and take notes with Notability.

Other medical apps include: Epocrates Essentials, Micromedex, uCentral, and more. Other productivity apps include: Documents (for annotating/reading PDFs), Evernote (taking notes and web clips), QxMD Read (for browsing the current medical literature) and more.
