Upcoming Login Changes

December 20, 2012

Update: This transition is happening on January 7, 2013.

In early January 2013, the off campus and GEORGE logins for Dahlgren Memorial Library resources will change from last name/GOCard number to Georgetown University NetID/password. This change increases the security of library accounts. To ensure continuous access to library resources after this change please be sure that you have an active, working NetID/password.

If you have questions about NetIDs and library access, please contact Meghan Wallace, Access Services Coordinator, at dmlcirculation@georgetown.edu, 202-687-1448.

General questions about NetIDs should be directed towards UIS.

Nursing eBook Title Changes

December 14, 2012

Update (1/2/12):
If you want to keep The Handbook of Nursing Diagnosis on your mobile device, please do not update the uCentral content (within the app). This update will remove the eBook from your device. We are communicating with the vendor in order to find a solution. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Due to contractual agreements, the uCentral platform will no longer be able to offer The Handbook for Nursing Diagnosis after December 31, 2012.
Downloading the title from uCentral onto your mobile device prior to December 31st should ensure that you retain access to it after that date.

As an alternative, the Nurse’s Pocket Guide: Diagnoses, Prioritized Interventions, and Rationales has been added to the uCentral platform.

And a newer 13th edition of The Handbook for Nursing Diagnosis is now available on the OVID platform.

In addition to uCentral, Dahlgren Memorial Library also provides access to a number of other Medical Apps, including DynaMed, Micromedex, Natural Standard, Nursing Reference Center, etc. For more information, please contact us or visit our Medical Apps Guide.
