Resource Tip: SlideShare

March 20, 2009

Our previous post used a widget from SlideShare to embed the presentations. SlideShare is a great site which allows you to upload and share your PowerPoint presentations with anyone and embed those presentations into a Web page.

It’s free and easy to create an account and they support Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel (2003 & 2007), Open Office, and Apple Keynote documents. You can also control who views your presentations: make them either public or private.

Instructors can upload their course presentations and the students can always have easy access to them on their laptop and mobile device. SlideShare has a mobile-friendly site for the iPhone or iPod Touch at this URL: http://m.slideshare.com.
