In commemoration of World Humanitarian Day, observed annually on August 19, you may want to learn more about the Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN), a multi-campus collaboration designed to raise awareness of the meaning of humanitarian response and its implications for the Jesuit ideology of “men and women for others.”

The website for the Jesuit University Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) is now live. JUHAN is a partnership led by faculty, staff, and students at Fairfield University, Fordham University, and Georgetown University.

Georgetown University in collaboration with CNDLS is participating in the 2nd biannual Jesuit University Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) conference. The conference, titled “The Ethics of Humanitarian Action,” will take place on Georgetown’s main campus on June 4-6, 2010.
