Susan Pennestri and former CNDLS Director for Science Programs & Instructional Technology, Janet Russell, presented at the 8th Annual Emerging Technologies for Online Learning, a joint symposium of the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) and Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT), this spring. Their presentation highlighted an ITEL project led by faculty member Susan Martin, Director of the Institute for the Study of International Migration, on the development of the online version of the Global Trends gateway course which is part of the International Migration Studies certificate program offered through the School of Continuing Studies. The presentation outlined the step-by-step process of transforming the four-day intensive in-person course into an eight-week online course format. Martin shared her experience working with the CNDLS team on her ITEL project in a testimonial video (see below). We congratulate Susan Pennestri on a successful presentation, and thank Susan Martin for her partnership with CNDLS and dedication to transformational learning!
