On Monday, June 3, the White House convened a national conference about mental health issues. President DeGioia spoke about the Engelhard Project as part of a panel on outreach efforts. Inside Higher Ed shared this recap of the White House event, and the Georgetown news article about the conference is here. Additional resources can be found on the new mentalhealth.gov website, which was unveiled at the conference.
As President DeGioia described, Engelhard faculty fellows link academic course content to health and wellness topics, raising students’ awareness not only of health issues but also of available campus resources for those who are struggling.
