Congratulations to Anne Rosenwald (Biology), who has been selected as a BEN Scholar as part of a program administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Physiology Society, and the America Society for Microbiology. As a BEN Scholar, Anne will work to promote student-centered teaching and the use of digital resources in the undergraduate curriculum. Read the Georgetown news article about her award here.
Integrating genuine research projects into her undergraduate courses is not new to Anne — read more here about how she equips her students to conduct first-hand research.
Anne is currently collaborating with CNDLS, the J. Craig Venter Institute, and Simmons College to develop the Genome Solver project. Funded in part by the National Science Foundation, the Genome Solver project will connect students with experts to create a community of genome analysts.
Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project!
