We're pleased to present the latest issue of The Prospect (Issue 8), a CNDLS publication designed to highlight innovative teaching practice at Georgetown.
Our annual Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Summer Institute (TLISI) is off to a great start!
At this year's TLISI, which follows a different format than recent institutes, small groups of faculty members are collaborating for several days in workshops designed around particular topics. For the first part of this week, faculty fellows for the Doyle Engaging Difference Initiative are working with CNDLS staff members John Rakestraw and Joselyn Schultz Lewis. The Doyle Initiative asks Faculty Fellows to redesign one of their courses in order to make the academic consideration of issues of tolerance and difference an integral part of the course content and class discussions.
Faculty fellows from the Bottlenecks and Thresholds Initiative will meet later this week, and next week we'll be working with faculty participating in the brand-new Teaching, Learning, and Technology Initiative. For more information about all three workshops, please see the TLISI site.
Stay tuned for updates on these discussions and the resulting faculty projects!
