Upcoming Training Sessions for Elluminate Live!

As the weather becomes colder, you may be reminded of last winter's dramatic snowstorms. The Academic Continuity website collects resources and tips for dealing with disruptions to classroom routines, as well as examples from faculty who found creative ways to adapt to unexpected circumstances. There are a number of tools available at Georgetown that address the challenges of continuing course work without being able to meet with students face-to-face. Although these tools proved useful during last winter's closings, you may also find them helpful in everyday teaching situations. One such tool is Elluminate Live!, a synchronous collaboration tool available in the Blackboard course management system, that you can use to include remote participants in classroom sessions, hold virtual office hours, engage students or researchers outside of the classroom, and collaborate with colleagues.  Elluminate Live! sessions may be recorded and archived for later review.   Elluminate support is provided by staff in University Information Services, CNDLS, and the McDonough School of Business Technology Center. There are several upcoming Elluminate training sessions in December and January. Please visit this page for details and to register.
