Linguistics 101 with Prof. Carson (0.5 stars on rate my professor)

Additional Thoughts:

One thing that I found interesting in the video was when Pinker referred to the term gist. He mentions something about how long term memory retains the gist of ideas and language. So basically, our brain stores the gist of past interactions involving communication to make a context reference library. Could this ‘gist’ be something that we could possibly run through a computer program? [3]
