Introduction

Hi!

I am Alejandro Castro Macias, but most people call me Alex. I am an energetic freshman in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Finance and Operations and Information Management.

I was born in Mexico City and grew up primarily in The United States. As a Freshmen in University, I consider my most formative years as of yet to be my high school years, that of which I spent in Houston, Texas. It was during the stress, immaturity, and growth of high school that slowly came to define who I am. I found my passions prominently in debate, tennis, photography, and film. As my professional interests began to form during my last three years of high school, I found myself gravitating towards the financial markets. As I start University I hope to stay grounded in who I am as a person and continue to explore my professional interests.

I have created this website in order to create a record of some of my notable experiences in University. Most prominent within my work in this website is my public inquiry into DC. Specifically, I have created an analysis of the FBI Headquarters building and the surrounding area.

I have also devoted a large portion of this website to track my journey throughout a sociology course I took my freshman fall titled “Flourishing”.
